Lamella Clarifier Operation Manual
Lamella clarifier operation is much simple and easy, because only 1 water feeding pump, 2 agitators and several electric sludge discharging valves should be controlled.

1.
Check Before Operation:
* Check the electric wires to ensure they are properly connected.
* Check the pipes to ensure they are properly connected.
* Check the parts to ensure they are firmly installed.
* Check and confirm no foreign matters are left inside equipment and pipes.
* Check the ladder, handrail and walkway to ensure they are properly installed.
* Start the agitators (in inching mode) and check to ensure its rotation speed is correct.

Warning:
* During operation, it is strictly forbidden to contact the moving parts.
* Do not use in an explosive or flammable place.
* If abnormal sound generates during operation, please stop the equipment immediately and troubleshoot.
* All the electrical connection and disconnection operations must be carried out by skilled and competent personal.

Caution:
* Do not allow a person to operate this lamella clarifier, who does not understand its operation
* It is forbidden to change this lamella clarifier without manufacturer’s written admission
* It is necessary to use the spare parts designated by manufacturer.

Issues Before Operation:
* Please arrange a jar test to get the accurate chemicals dosage.
* Please ensure the liquid chemical solution are ready to use.
* Please adjust wastewater pH to 7.5-8.5
* Flow rate accessing to flocculation reaction tank should be constant in every hour, please control the flow rate properly by pump and valves.
* The feeding pump to flocculation reaction tank should have Recirculation Pipe.

Operation:
5.1
Start water feeding pump.

Start the 2 agitators in Flocculation Reaction Tank.

Start flocculant dosing pump and coagulant dosing pump, and dose the ready liquid flocculant and coagulant solution into Flocculation Reaction Tank. Adjust the dosage to the data you get in step 4.

5.4
Check the flocculation performance in Flocculation Reaction Tank and the treated outlet water quality from water outlet, and fine adjust the chemical dosage till you get expected performance.

Regularly open the sludge discharging valves according to the lamella clarifier manufacturer’s advice to discharge the separated sludge.
